Hans Ruschke was born in Munich, Germany and grew up in
Germany as well as the United States.
He received an undergraduate degree in comparative Justice from
American University in Washington, DC, in 2001.
In 2004, Hans received a LL.M. in intellectual property law from
the Munich Intellectual Property Law Center. During his LL.M. studies,
Hans completed an internship at the European Patent Office as well as a Master's
Thesis, entitled "The 'Actual Harm' Standard in Trademark Dilution Law: An
Evaluation in Light of the European Experience."
Hans received his JD from the Santa Clara University School of
Law in 2007. While in law school, Hans participated in a summer IP program with
Professor Donald Chisum, and interned for the Santa Clara County District
Attorney's Office.
Hans is Admitted to the State Bar of California, and is a member
of the Bar Association of San Francisco, and the International Trademark
Association (INTA).
Hans speaks English and German.
